Facility: LA RONGE SITE
Job Description: The clinical supervisor will provide clinical supervision and program leadership to the Saskatchewan Health Authoritys North East Mental Health and Addictions team primarily located in Creighton and Sandy Bay.  The incumbent will be responsible for program development and mentorship and develop positive working relationships with internal and external mental health and addiction agencies.  The Clinical supervisor will also provide counselling services as required.  

Qualifications:
- A Masters Degree in Social Work with extensive course work in clinical mental health services, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of post secondary education and experience.
- Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Work.

Experience:
A minimum of three years of clinical experience working in community mental health services
A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a community mental health setting.
A minimum of two years experience working  with aboriginal clientele

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of various supervisory approaches and ability to coach and mentor staff
Knowledge of Mental Health act /regulations and relevant Criminal Code statutes
Knowledge of major mental health issues/disorders including anger, depression, abuse, suicide, PTSD, substance abuse and dependency etc
Knowledge of diagnostic systems and  approaches (DSM IV)
Knowledge of various treatment/counselling modalities and the ability to implement such strategies through the members of a multi-disciplinary mental health team
Skills to provide clinical consultation, support and leadership to mental health team at both a clinical and regional program planning level
Knowledge and skills to develop intervention strateg
