5 Concrete Finishers/Carpenters/laborers Needed
Full-time seasonal work from May 1, 2019 until November 30, 2019 in Saskatoon, SK
$18.00 to 32.00/hour to start depending on experience. Subsequent increases based on previous experience and performance.
Previous experience with forming and placing concrete sidewalks, curbs, grade beams and flat floor finishing is an asset but not required. If you are ambitious, self motivated and have a strong interest in the construction industry then come join the Conco Team. Valid drivers license is an asset. All employees must be able to pass drug and alcohol screenings and have good communication skills in the English language.
Work on road, parking lot and other commercial construction projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Set concrete forms
- Installing and compacting granular base
- Install rebar and other reinforcements as required
- Place and finish exterior concrete sidewalks and curbs and gradebeams
- Place and finish flat floors with power trowel
- Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
- Ability to operate power tools such as skill saws, jack hammers, quickie saw and other equipment
- Remove old concrete and prep surfaces for replacement
- Must be physically fit and be able to lift 30 pounds repetitively
- Other duties as required as per job site requirements

- Operate power vibrators to compact concrete

- Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
- Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
- Direct placement of concrete into forms or surfaces
- Cut control joints
- Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement material
- Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
