The Maintenance/Service Technician performs a variety of duties associated with the installation, operation and advanced maintenance of gas system facilities including the delivery of customer services in accordance with standards, specifications and accepted industry practices. As a potential first responder, this includes implementing sound decisions in emergency situations.
Qualified applicants shall possess:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Journeyperson plumber and general gas fitter license.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
Additional Information:
- The incumbent is required to be physically fit.
- The incumbent is required to have mechanical and computer aptitude; have the ability to work independently; provide strong customer service; and have the ability to use sound judgment in day to day activities, making decisions in emergency situations and when responding to customers.
- Call-out, travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required.
- This job is safety sensitive, and as such, is subject to the provisions of the Drug And Alcohol Policy (Pre-Employment or Pre-Placement for Safety Sensitive Positions.
