Description

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Execute the efficient and orderly functioning of the Production Control department
Create, release and monitor work orders from the master Production Schedule to meet marketing and sales requirements
Work closely with the Production Manager to execute production schedules ensuring all orders are processed according to the master schedule
Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
Manage assigned product lines and drive the demand in the ERP system considering customer requirements, material availability and production capacity
Support improvements of production methods and systems and apply concepts in lean manufacturing techniques
Manage and mitigate any risks to the production schedule

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade XII education (or equivalent)
1+ years of production scheduling experience would be an asset
Technical training and extensive experience in manufacturing control, processes, ISO 9000 and general knowledge of the metal fabrication industry
Excellent analytical, planning, organization and communication skills
Highly motivated, collaborative and energetic individual
Understanding in Lean practices beneficial
Strong computer skills; experience with BAAN or ERP/planning software would be an asset
Competence with Microsoft Office products; intermediate to advanced Excel experience strongly preferred
