Description

In this role you will fabricate, maintain, install, transport and repair shop and classroom equipment components and infrastructure in the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Industrial Division at the Moose Jaw and Regina campuses. This support is also provided for continuing education outreach sites. Occasional welding, fabrication and equipment operations support is supplied to government services and stores department as required.

Qualifications include:

1. Grade 12 or equivalent.
2. Journeyperson in a mechanical field.
3. Welding certificate.
4. Knowledge and experience in the use of welding equipment.
5. Valid drivers license.
6. Effective organizational skills.
7. Experience and certification in forklift operation. (Certification may be obtained as a condition of employment).
8. Recent automotive and mechanical experience.
9. Effective communication skills (written and oral).
10. Effective interpersonal skills.
11. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
