Job Description: The Manager in collaboriation with the Director is responsible for: administrative direction, leadership, management coordination, strategic planning, evaluation, service implementation, operating and capital budget preparation for the Convalescent Rehabilitation Unit (CRU).  The Manager is also responsible for creating and sustaining a workplace environment that fosters SHR's core values of respect, compassion, excellence, stewardship and collaboration and an atmosphere of trust, open communication and innovation, learning and growth.  The Manager must ensure quality patient and family centered care through utilization of evidence based care in accordance with SHR values and strategic directions.  The Manager must strive to balance budget annually.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years experience in an Acute Care or Long Term Care Setting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced verbal communication skills
Advanced writing skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong focus on patient and family centered care.

A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (May consider other health professionals depending on education and experience).  Must have the ability to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care programming. A proven ability to build an interdisciplinary collaborative team work environment, to lead change and innovation and to manage in a demanding environment. Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.  Demonstrated critical thinking skills.  Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic to new situations and be an effective agent for change.
