Description

HDCS is seeking a mature student to assist with programming from approximately May 1st - August 30th, 2019.

The Program Assistant would be responsible for various tasks.  

As a job coach you will assist in our Enhanced Career Bridging Program and Community Work Crew by providing training and guidance to clients either one on one or in a group work environment.  This will include providing direct instruction and completing job placement evaluations.  The successful candidate must be prepared to work in both indoor and outdoor work environments.

You may also be required to assist with our summer program which includes providing guidance and support to children and youth with varying needs and to assist them with participating in recreational and social activities.

In addition, this position may include some office and administration duties.

The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, communication skills, and the ability to write precise documentation.  

Applicants must be patient, reliable, enthusiastic and compassionate.

A valid driver's license, clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check is a requirement of this position.  First Aid/CPR is an asset.
