Summary of Role
As a member of the Banquet Department the Bartender/Server/Porter is responsible for creating memorable experiences for our guests, delivering exceptional service and ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.
Impact & Influence on Guests, Associates and Business
Set up/take down of banquet rooms; tables, bars, stages, audio visual, chairs, dishes, linens etc.
Understand and review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure rooms are set as contracted.
Serve/replenish and or clear food and beverages; plate service, buffet
Knowledge of menu items including preparation methods and ingredients
Clean designated areas in accordance with department standards and health and safety regulations and requirements
Comply with Provincial Liquor and Gaming Regulations
Knowledge of department cleaning products; this includes complying with all safe handling procedures and wearing required PPE as necessary
Conduct on the job training to new associates as required
Responsible for off-site catering on occasion
Other duties as assigned
