Otolaryngologist Specialist

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is recruiting for a Permanent Full Time Otolaryngologist, based out of Prince Albert,Saskatchewan. Prince Albert is the largest centre in the region- regarded as Saskatchewan's Gateway to the North with a population of 45,000.  There are many acreages, farms, lakes and outdoor camping sites, and the natural setting of Prince Albert National Park. We are blessed with a wealth of summer and winter activities hosted in well groomed city parks, golf courses, and sport facilities, and only minutes away from the best resorts in Saskatchewan. Prince Albert is also a commercial hub with employment and business opportunities in diverse sectors.

The Victoria Hospital is a regional hospital with 164 acute care beds .The hospital provides services to a population of 80,000 including northern and northeastern Saskatchewan, and is the referral center for surrounding regions.

The successful candidate will provide consultation services in a clinical setting as well as the emergency room and ambulatory care. The region has four full time operating theaters completing approximately 5500 cases per year. Otolaryngology is provided with weekly OR time.

Salary: Fee for Service with a stipend for limited on-call: call level and expectation will be at the incumbents discretion.

Supporting departments: Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Radiology, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesia, Family Practice, Pathology and Emergency Medicine.
Supporting Services: Speech and Language Pathology, Physical and Occupational Therapy.

Qualifications: Candidates must have Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada specialty certification or have Royal College eligibility. Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan is a prerequisite.
