Pineland Co-op at Choiceland invites applications for the position of Assistant Manager. Reporting to the Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the Manager in the areas of: daily operations, budgeting, inventory control, merchandising, talent management and guest service.
Applicants must have a solid background in retail management with demonstrated experience in gas bar management, c-store merchandising and talent management. The successful applicant will be dedicated to outstanding guest service, demonstrate excellent communication skills and have the ability to work independently as well as a member of a highly motivated team. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
This position requires a dynamic self-starter with a positive attitude, team building skills, strong leadership skills; and the ability to develop loyal, long-term relationships with our members and guests. The ideal candidate is customer-centric, and possesses strong business management, administrative and supervisory skills. Experience in C-Store/Gas Bar Operations, Ag and Farm Hardware, Feed, Lubricants, and General Merchandise is preferred. Maintenance/mechanical experience is an asset. Must be willing to obtain propane dispenser, pesticide dispenser, and PMEO certifications.
