Description

Wild West Steelhead is a fully integrated aquaculture company operating a recirculation rainbow trout hatchery, 2 cage culture sites and a processing plant on Lake Diefenbaker, in Saskatchewan. The company is one of the largest trout producer in Canada with plans for expansion. We are currently recruiting for a qualified Maintenance Technician.

This position is responsible to the Production Manager for the provision and/or coordination of all maintenance services related to the equipment at the fish farm.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
    Safe and knowledgeable operations of heavy equipment such as; barge crane, tele-handler, winches, welders, pumps, compressors, feeders, ATVs, boats and barges.
    Conducting preventative maintenance on fish processing equipment.
    Conducting routine on-site preventative maintenance on motorized equipment.
    Coordinating off-site maintenance for larger issues.
    Maintaining all appropriate records and updates as required.
    Maintaining inventory of tools and parts.
    Other duties as required.
Key skills and Competencies Required:
    Welding experience would be considered an asset.
    Mechanical experience would be considered an asset.
    Working knowledge of carpentry and plumbing
    Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
    Ability to work independently.
    Valid drivers license
    Physically fit.
