Description

Quint Development Corporation is a unique community economic development organization, focused on creating economic opportunities that help to strengthen communities and improve social conditions for Saskatoon residents. The goal is to create opportunities for affordable housing, jobs, and economic development in Saskatoon's west-side core neighbourhoods.
Build Up Saskatoon (BUS) is a program of Quint Development that seeks to employ individuals that have a hard time entering and staying in the labour market due to multiple barriers.The role of the crew supervisor is to oversee jobsites that would include apartment turnover maintenance, renovations, eaves cleaning and other additional work dependent on public and private contracts, and ensure the work is being completed to a high standard and on time. The successful applicant will work in collaboration with the program manager to create an efficient, respectful workplace that seeks to mentor marginalized individuals that face many high barriers to meaningful employment.
DUTIES:
Schedule employees to particular job sites
Teach and mentor employees in order to promote their personal and career growth
Providing opportunities for apprenticeship
Track employees attendance, evaluating performance and record their progress.
Ensure OH&S standards are being met and job sites are clean and safe
Ensure each job site has the required tools and materials to complete the job in a timely manner
Work with the program manager to create realistic budgets and renovation projections
Perform inspections on site to ensure work is done to a high level
Assist the Program manager to enable submission of tenders
Be the onsite contact person for BUS customers
Transport BUS employees to job sites from a central location
