Saskatoon Co-op invites applications for the position of a Full Time Baker at The Centre Grocery Store located on 8th Street of Saskatoon.
Reporting to the Bakery Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:
1.To prepare, bake and finish bakery products as required, including mixing of doughs, batters, and processing the product to the point of sale
2.To do decorating of cakes and bakery items as required
3.To be responsible to ensure that in the handling of all products, high cleanliness and quality standards are maintained
4.To supervise the work of other bakery employees as required
5.To maintain daily production and ingredient records as required
6.To keep clean and in good working order all equipment used in the performance of duties
7.To perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
1.Must be a certified journeyman Baker or have the equivalent knowledge and expertise to perform all baking functions in the department
2.Minimum of three years experience in the commercial baking industry
3.Good health and health habits - capable of handling ingredient and product rates common in the plant
4.Must be physically able to perform the lifting and carrying required in the department
5.Must be well organized, and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum of supervision
6.Must be able to work mornings, afternoons and weekends.
