Description

Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority is seeking a temporary full-time Service Desk Analyst to join its Information Technology Branch 12 months with the possibility of extension. The University Graduate Program provides recent graduates with valuable work experience to assist them in finding permanent full-time employment outside the organization following their work term. Candidates must have completed their education within the last two (2) years.
The SLGA Service Desk is the single point of contact for users regarding all technology incidents, service requests and how-to inquiries. As a result, this position is required to diagnose, assess and identify ways to address users information technology problems.
Service Desk Analyst provides first tier technical support with the primary focus on the SLGAs client infrastructure, including related printer, server, point of sale terminals, and other peripheral hardware and software. This position receives direction from both the IT Support Supervisor and Service Desk Team Lead, and is responsible for following Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based support processes. Core functions of the job include: the installation, configuration and maintenance of all client hardware and software; technical support for desk-side support and related systems/peripherals; monitoring and testing of systems to ensure reliability and integrity; and system account administration.
