The Employment Support Professional provides services to people in a vocational setting. They assist with activities in a workplace environment and provides employment supports to people working at their jobs. Work with the person and any involved family and advocates to determine a person's physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs. As directed by the person supported, develop goals and person-centred plans for their careers. Operate specialised pieces of machinery necessary to complete job orders. Maintain a clean, accessible and inviting workplace.
The successful candidate will:
Demonstrate commitment to the consistent application of protocols, personal plans and behaviour support plans. Possess exceptional communication skills with the ability to build rapport and liaise with individuals supported. Demonstrate an ability to foster positive relationships Willing to engage in a variety of Community Activities, Possess skills in using tools time management, advocacy and resilience.Be a team player, and participate in creating and achieving team objectives.
Requirements: Woodworking skills/experience an asset; Loader forklift and equipment operator experience an asset; Current First Aid/CPR; Valid Class 5 drivers license; Computer literacy
