Description

At CFIB, everything we do is to increase the odds of success for independent business owners.  We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time position as a Small Business Support Representative/ Administrative Assistant in our Regina office location.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Prairie and Agri-Business, in our Regina office, you will express your passion for helping business owners by providing them with sound advice and tools to help them run their business and provide administrative support to the Saskatchewan team.

Responsibilities:

Receive and respond to inquiries from Canadian business owners regarding operations issues including; human resources, financing, taxation, regulation, and labour legislation, by phone or email.
Keep up-to-date with pertinent legislation and developments in government/small-medium enterprises and determine relevancy to incoming inquiries.
Prepare correspondence to external parties, highlighting specific member concerns.
Handle general administrative work including; answering phones, proofing/formatting reports, filing, completing expense reports, booking and coordinating travel/meeting arrangements.
Assist in maintaining our provincial web site and serve as media coordinator for the VP.
Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal skills to project a positive and professional image of CFIB to internal and external contacts.
A high degree of integrity, confidentiality, and tact, and work with a high degree of accuracy.
Proven customer service, problem-solving, writing and multi-tasking skills.
Knowledge of government legislation and understanding of small-medium size business current issues is an asset.
A post-secondary training in business administration or equivalent with 3-5 years of practical experience.
We have a great team in our Regina office and we are located in downtown Regina.
