SSILC is currently looking for a skilled professional to join our team as the Employment Facilitator, Moose Jaw. If you are interested in working in a rewarding, fun, friendly environment...read on!

The Employment Facilitator reports directly to the Program Manager.  The position will work with participants, assisting them to develop skills and resources to successfully transition into Moose Jaw labour force.

SSILC offers a program called Targeted Initiative for Older Workers. We need someone who will bring personal and professional values consistent with the Independent Living (IL) philosophy, along with knowledge, skills and abilities of working with individuals 55+.

Position Highlights
Approximately 30 hours a week of classroom facilitation
Deliver and develop employment material that will result in increased knowledge and job search skills
Assist mature job seekers to enhance their employability skills for success in finding suitable employment while moving through the Labour Market Services Employability Dimensions
Achieve the goals identified in their career action plans using measurable milestones, timelines, and steps
Access community supports as needed
Assist individuals in finding a work placement based on interests and abilities
Directly market to employers the value of mature, experienced workers and, assist the participants with finding employment
Provide job maintenance as needed

Qualifications
University Bachelor's Degree
Reality Therapy/Choice Theory accreditation and/ or equivalent is an asset
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to use MS office, internet and e-mail
Vehicle and valid Class 5 driver's license
We are looking for someone who would be available to start immediately
Knowledge, understanding and ability to relate effectively with people experiencing disabilities and multiple barriers
