Emmons Trucking has been in business for over 30 years. We haul various aggregate products directly from gravel pits to roadwork, industrial, commercial and residential projects. Our shop is located near Caronport, SK and our primary work sites surround Moose Jaw, SK and Regina, SK (generally within 1 hour of these cities).

Role Overview

You will operate a tractor trailer unit to deliver aggregate (gravel, sand, rock) from gravel pits to customer projects. The trailer configuration you use may be B-Train, Tri-Axle or Tandem and either a Side Dump, Belly Dump or End Dump.

Role Responsibilities

- Perform pre-trip inspections of the tractor trailer unit you are operating
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance on trucks and trailers
- Identify equipment malfunctions and repair or elevate the issue(s) to your supervisor
- Ensure aggregate being delivered is loaded correctly in the trailer prior to leaving the gravel pit
- Safely deliver and unload aggregate at the customers project

The Requirements

- Valid Class 1A Drivers Licence
- Safe driving record supported by an up to date Drivers Abstract
- Minimum of 1 year of experience hauling aggregate with B-Train and Tri-Axle Trailer configurations
- Meet safety requirements and adhere to safety policies and traffic laws
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Capable of using technology in the workplace (e.g. loader and platform scales and mobile apps for safety program, equipment maintenance records and time entry)
- Able or willing to learn to operate a wheel loader to load aggregate into a trailer
- Pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Screen
