The Prevention Services Manager, under the direct supervision of the Director of Prevention Services, will supervise and support the Prevention Services Worker to implement an alternate approach to the well-being of the child, the family and the communities of Cote, Keeseekoose and Key. The alternate approach will be based on the development of Prevention Services resting on the foundations of First Nations values and beliefs. The context of prevention services development will be guided by the Prevention Service Committees, Elders, the support of family and community members. Working in conjunction with the Prevention Services Workers, the Prevention Service Committees and the Area Program Manager, The Prevention Service Manager will also provide the required support for early intervention for at risk families and ensure children are safe by providing access to a range of developmental services for children and families.
Applicant must have four(4) year University undergraduate degree in a related discipline or eighteen(18) months in First Nation Human Services OR Certificate in Social Work (CSW or
CISW) and twenty-four (24)months First Nations Human Services experience.
