Job Summary: Assists the Head Housekeeper to manages the operation of the housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure orderly and attractive conditions in the hotel. Promotes an atmosphere of cleanliness and superior customer care for hotel guests. Engages with housekeeping staff to create a positive workplace atmosphere.
Reports to: Head Housekeeper
Job Duties:
Train new employees and evaluates current employees as asked by Head Housekeeper
Directs all activities of the housekeeping and laundry departments in furnishing daily service to guest rooms
If requested, prepares work schedules for staff based on projected occupancy.
Inspects premises, guest rooms, linen rooms, and public areas to assure employees maintain the propertys superior standards of housekeeping.
Create a service environment focused on the guest, with a passion for high standards in cleanliness. Respond promptly to customer needs.
Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, and develop alternative solutions.
Maintains lost and found.
Performs room attendant duties, when required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Housekeeper
Must work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Always wear appropriate uniform as prescribed by the company policy and maintain personal cleanliness.
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Exemplify positive work ethic for other staff and have good communication skills
