The Town of Pilot Butte is currently accepting applications for two (2) full-time Summer Students to commence on May 1, 2019 until the end of August 2019.
The Town is a vibrant community conveniently located just 8km east of the City of Regina with a current population of 2137. The diversity of our residents and their willingness to give back to their community represents only a small portion of the spirit and drive that sustains our foundation as a whole.
Reporting to the Director of Public Works and Maintenance Operations, the student Labourer will perform duties as required in the following areas:
Assisting in general maintenance of municipal parks, cemeteries and buildings
Street and road maintenance, spring-cleanup, etc
Grass cutting, weed whacking at municipal parks, cemeteries, and buildings
Tree trimming
Other general duties as assigned
The successful candidates will posses the ability to interact with children, be a team player, work mainly outdoors, work unsupervised and project positive image of the Town. The candidates must have been registered as a full-time student in 2019 and intend to return as a full time student in the fall term.
A vulnerable sector check and clean drivers abstract will be required for the position.
Wearing CSA Approved footwear at all times will be a condition of employment and will be the responsibility of the employee to purchase.
The Town offers an hourly wage of $15.00 with a 32-40 hour workweek. Some weekend work may be required.
