Communications Assistant
To qualify you must be a current full time student returning to school in fall
Full time - 16 weeks starting (dates negotiables)
$14/hour
Interviews will be conducted in April
Are you a problem solver? Provide examples in your cover letter.
Are you computer, web and social media savvy? Provide details and examples in your cover letter.
Do you have marketing experience? Provide examples in your cover letter.
Are you creative, designing attractive Power Points, memes, displays? Attach samples or links to your work in this area.
Do you have design or communications experience? Please provide links to your work online.
Do you have event organization skills? Describe in your cover letter.
Duties will include:
1. Facebook & Website News feed - Post new information daily
2. Awareness Campaign - Sport & Brain Injury Awareness Campaign
Identify contacts in Sports and contact information in spreadsheet
Prepare presentation to make potential partners
Prepare information packages for potential partners
Make appointments with and make presentations to potential partners
3. Newsletter - Produce articles for the 4 newsletters per year on the following:
a. SBIA Event Assistance & news coverage - pictures and reports on SBIA Events
b. SBIA Chapter and Partner Upcoming Events - contact chapters and partners to put contact info and some of their upcoming event info into the newsletter
c. Articles of Interest to Survivors, Caregivers and about ABI and its Prevention
Read ABI magazines and newsletters - what are they covering
Books about or for ABI survivors/caregivers
d. Articles of interest about current or political events that may affect ABI survivors or that they may need/wish to know
4. As needed - Events in March, May, June and September
Prepare and send PSA's and News Releases
Cover events for newsletter
5. Assist with other tasks as needed
