Description

The Community Catalyst will demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
Promote a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere toward all who enter GNFC
Exceptional communication skills
Ability to work independently on specific projects
Ability to work collaboratively with the Executive Director and volunteers
Ability to manage a variety of projects concurrently
Knowledge of the community and surrounding area
Commitment to food security in the community
The Community Catalyst, responsible to the Executive Director, will:
    Align all work/projects with the priorities set out in the Strategic Plan for the organization
    Increase the understanding of food security in our Community
    Generate discussion with stakeholders around solutions to food insecurity
    Coordinate community gardens (including P3S2)
    Increase food procurement through:
o    Collaborations with grocery stores
o    Gleaner projects
o    Grow a row and other gardening initiatives
    Provide tours to school and youth groups
    Coordinate markets
    Act as a liaison with community kitchens
    Coordinate educational classes
    Coordinate community lunches
    Assist Executive Director with website development and social media
    Support the Executive Director with initiatives as needed for GNFC
    Provide a monthly report to the Board of Directors
