Description

Avena Foods is recruiting a highly-motivated Grain Receiving Quality Technician for its Regina oat processing plant.  This full-time position works daily with dedicated farmers, receiving truck deliveries following Avena's Purity Protocol system.  The incumbent inspects grain and runs a variety of quality tests to ensure the oats meet specifications, records and communicates results, prepares information for grain settlements, performs related administrative duties, contributes to farmer relations strategy and events, and acts as backup for Quality Assurance Technicians in Avena's QA lab.

The successful applicant will understand and live by Avena's values, be a strong team player who is not shy to work closely with multiple departments and enjoy building relationships with farmers and other industry people.  They must pay close attention to detail, be able to work well with minimal oversight, be good at multitasking, and be punctual and flexible regarding work schedule.
