Main responsibilities:
- With the support of the Kitchen Coordinator, responsible for ensuring campers and staff dietary needs are positively and safely being met
Duties include:
- Work effectively within a kitchen team to ensure high volume meals are prepared safely and on time
- Perform inventory and administrative tasks as required by position
- Assist in maintaining barrier free, clean, and safe camping facility
- Maintain an understanding of SaskAbilities policies and procedures as they apply to the position and attend required trainings
- Other duties as assigned by Camp Manager
Qualifications:
- Combination of experience in commercial sized kitchens, food preparation, restaurant or cafeteria settings
- Food Safe Level 1 is an asset
- Working at a summer camp or residential workplace considered an asset
Professional Skills:
- Ability to positively interact and openly communicate with campers, staff and external contacts
- Ability to create a respectful environment working with people of varying abilities
- Strong organization and problem solving skills
Availability:
- Available to work mid May to late August
- 12 hour shift schedule
- Camp is located at Manitou Beach, SK
- Accommodations and meals are provided during camp sessions, all staff leave on days off
