The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
Develop, implement and maintain counselling and programs for students;
Provides counselling services to students to ensure their success;
Provide students and parents with information on school policies, procedures, local agencies and
services;
Maintain student files in a confidential and professional manner;
Initiate and/or participate in case conferences, meetings and/or workshops;
Provide classroom presentations relevant to students needs;
Conduct assessments of the psychological, social, emotional and environmental needs of students;
Work collaboratively with and consult with school base administrators, teachers, school support staff, caregivers,, outside agencies and Education staff to develop a wide variety of programs;
Participate in home visits;
Meet provincial requirements with regard to professional regulations, code of ethics.
Other duties as assigned from time to time.
