Description

The Whitewood Swimming Pool is looking for qualified, energetic and motivated Lifeguards with up to date certificates including Bronze Medallion & Bronze Cross, CPR/First Aid with AED Training. National Lifeguard Award, Water Safety Instructor or Lifesaving Instructor certificate is an asset.

Position Reports to: Town of Whitewood Facility Operations Manager, Town of Whitewood Chief Administrative Officer
Wage: Starting at $12.50 - $16.50/hr, based on qualifications (Max. wage includes Water Safety Instructor or Lifesaving Instructor Certificate to teach swimming lessons and National Lifeguard Award).

Job Responsibilities
Complete daily tasks including; documenting water chemistry levels at the pool and spray park, following opening and closing procedures, routine cleaning duties and equipment checks, collecting, admissions and filling out daily financial logs
Supervise swimmers and enforce pool rules,Clean pool deck and pool house building,Provide a safe environment for the facility users

Qualifications and Skill Requirements Education:
Must be a student returning to studies in the fall of 2019.
Experience: None, must possess Bronze Cross and Bronze Medallion.

Additional Skills:
Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team,Ability to maintain effective working relationships and demonstrate strong communication,Strong leadership and problem solving skills,Ability to handle high stress situations,Ability to teach swimming lessons (certificate required) a definite asset.
