We are seeking a Software Applications Engineer to join our E-commerce team within the Online Shopping organization facing to globe. In this role, you will be integral to a small but growing team focused on designing visually elegant applications that provide and enhance the overall E commerce experience. These experiences will include the front-end discovery and selection experience, the shopping cart experience, purchasing, localization, pricing models, payment methods and subscriptions.
Responsibilities
Build awesome, end to end, web experiences for our customers, balancing usability with functionality
Design and build applications that accommodate all mediums, screen sizes and device types
Build applications that retain a vision of flexibility and customization
Be nimble and react quickly to changing business conditions and requirements
Build applications which target multiple functions such as, referrals, loot box, managed services, appointments, and support content
Work with product managers, content producers, QA engineers and release engineers to own your solution from development to production
Requirements
Must have
MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent with prior industry experience.
8+ years of experience with web app development.
5+ years of programming experience with using Golang, Python for UNIX Environments.
Experience with modern tools like front-end (Angular/VUE/JQuery) and back-end (Golang/MySQL/Kafka) for payment system, etc.
Design UI application architecture using reusable components.
Knowledge of REST API best practices
Excellent unit testing and integration testing practices.
Ability to build responsive UI applications with cross browser/devices
Ability to measure and optimize page performance at scale
Good to have experience with Ali Pay and WeChat Pay
Be skilled at Chinese reading and writing, speak fluent Mandarin
Exposure to PHP, C# and other languages is a plus
