Description

The Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a Divisional Controller for its Brandt Finance division in Regina.

The Divisional Controller will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the division including:
Monitoring and strengthening internal controls
Managing the monthly and annual financial reporting and budgeting processes
Manage the accounting functions including review of journal entries, establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures
Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly and annual operating results
Planning and supervision of the external audit process
Preparation of corporate tax returns and
Overall responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of financial information.  

The Divisional Controller will also be responsible for monthly consolidation of the Brandt Group of Companies financial results, as well as organizing monthly financial analysis and reporting. In addition, the Divisional Controller will assist with formulation of accounting policies, procedures and controls, as well as provide advice and guidance on all accounting matters including financial systems, record keeping, analysis, and reporting.

The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of progressively responsible and relevant experience, and have a professional accounting designation.  Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multi-task and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
