Moose Jaw Little League is seeking a temporary full-time Baseball Diamond Groundskeeper.
Primary responsibilities include:
Spring clean-up and evaluation of all MJLL diamonds to get ready for the 2019 baseball season.
Daily Duties:
Clean all garbage and debris on the diamond and out of the home and visitor dugouts
Diamonds are to be dragged for every league game, large rocks and debris is to be picked up off the diamonds
Fields are to be raked and chalked with proper dimensions for MJLL league games, a schedule will be provided for the selected applicant
Fix divots on the pitchers mound
Maintain and pack slide boxes
Removal of lying water to ensure the field is ready for play.
There are weekend tournaments during the season and you will be expected to provide maintenance and upkeep a schedule will also be given to successful applicant.
Successful applicant must have own truck and be able to tow a trailer. Applicant must be able to operate an ATV to drag and groom the infield as well as a hand-operated wheeled chalk machine to put down base lines before games.
Be able to preform routine maintenance and minor repair of all grounds keeping equipment.
Performing related duties as assigned.
Term runs from April 18, 2019 to June 30, 2019.
Hours are flexible but expectation is 35-40 hours/week Monday to Friday and some weekends (for tournaments).
