Description

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for Vendastas overall financial performance from planning to management and everything in between. Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, the Financial Analyst will oversee the execution of all financial planning and analysis activities across all of Vendastas various divisions. This person will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting, analysis, and effectively communicating results to enhance and enable decision making.

Responsibilities
Support the entire end-to-end FP&A process for all departments and divisions
Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of the budget and forecast
Generate ongoing projections for corporate results or individual departments
Work with department managers to understand business needs and assist in the development of predictive models by utilizing financial data to make informed, potential business decisions
Maintain year-end working papers & spreadsheets and assist with preparation for any external audits or independent reviews being conducted
Prepare templates/profiles for financial statement specifications to facilitate responses to credit applications
Review external financial statements for credit applications as needed
Assist with implementation of accounting software and creating a training program for staff
Assist with transition to IFRS from ASPE standards

Requirements
Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administrationor related field
CPA designation considered a strong asset
Previous SAAS experience considered a strong asset
Expert-level knowledge and proven experience using Excel or Google Sheets
Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
Ability to communicate information with consistency and clarity (both verbally and written) with strong attention to detail
Strong judgment and sound reasoning; able to make quick, effective decisions in various high-stress situations
