Description

Harvest Meats, a leader in meat processing, is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Technologist in Yorkton SK.  Our 160,000 sqft facility produces all Harvest Meats products sold and distributed across North America. We are looking for an innovative forward-thinker for our large and complex facility. There is no typical day for this position; there will be some days when this individual spends most of their time on a computer, and others when they are primarily on the floor assisting personnel or touring around contractors. The ability and desire to work in a dynamic environment will be key. Duties and responsibilities include:
Manage and participate in projects that contribute to a safe and efficient operation
Troubleshoot and maintain all aspects of the plant, which include but are not limited to the facility, infrastructure, machinery, equipment, components, and processes
Read and understand plant charts, graphs, drawings, schematics, AutoCAD drawings and diagrams, and develop trends and solutions for findings

Skills and Qualifications
Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology
Previous experience within electrical, maintenance, instrumentation, or related field(s)
Experience with Programmable Logic Controls and systems, Refrigeration controls and Variable Frequency Drives
Willingness to study and learn about new processes, equipment, projects, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication
Able to work both individually and on a team, and collaborate with onsite contractors
Exceptional problem solving, investigative and troubleshooting skills, and experienced with root cause analysis
Able to determine machine and process bottlenecks within the plant
Proven analytical, accuracy and attention to detail
Able to work in various environments and temperatures, including colder temperatures at 4 degrees Celsius
