Punnichy Community High School requires a part time First Nation Support. This temporary position will consist of 20 visits to the school over the time period from April 29, 2019 to June 28, 2019.

Salary and benefits are determined by Horizon School Division #205. The days of work will be scheduled with the principal.

The Position
This position will provide a respected community members perspective to issues and concerns that may arise in our students lives. The successful candidate will be able to provide emotional and spiritual support in times of need through conversations with students both one-on-one and in small groups. The First Nation Support would also be able to provide support to staff in regards to First Nation ways of knowing.

This position will effect the whole school, which is approximately 175 students.

Qualifications
Experienced and demonstrated ability to work effectively with students with academic and behavioral issues
Strong interpersonal and communications skills are perceived as definite assets in this assignment
