Specialist, Security Governance & Access Management (Security Architect)

JOB SUMMARY:

SaskPowers Enterprise Security team is currently seeking an experienced Security Architect to help us improve and evolve our Cyber Security Program. The successful candidate will have a mix of technical knowledge, Cyber Security training and experience, along with the ability to balance the needs of the business. As a Cyber Security SME, you will assist in the development of strategic plans and roadmaps for Security, create and update Security Standards and evaluate new and existing systems in the form or Threat Risk Assessments. A background or experience in project management paired with the ability to build relationships at various levels and communicate technical language to non-technical stakeholders would also be an asset.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues.
Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements in the form of threat/risk assessments.
Align standards, frameworks and security with overall business and technology strategy.


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Degree in Computer Science or other related equivalent AND/OR;
Certification in TOGAF, SABSA, CISSP, GIAC or similar related professional designation(s) and/or certification(s) AND/OR;
Five (5) years of related information security experience
Critical Infrastructure AND/OR NERC CIP experience is desirable
Experience with Project Management methodologies, concepts, and tools; PMP (Project Management Professional) designation an asset.
