Description

We are looking for an Assembler for a permanent full-time position. The Assembler will connect metal parts into more complex metal components. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. You will use your hands or machines to do the job with great precision. Ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics, etc. and follow them with precision is extremely important.

Responsibilities:
    Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
    Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
    Takes precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
    Verifies specifications by measuring completed component to ensure the highest quality
    Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
    Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
    Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies
    Reports on issues, malfunction or defective parts
    Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as needed

Qualifications:
    Ability to read and follow written directions and understand basic shop drawings
    Knowledge of measuring tools such as tape measure, ruler, square, compass
    Able to use tools and machines with an attention to detail
    Must have dexterity and able to lift heavy objects during the assembly process
    Good understanding of math and quality control principles
    Must have outstanding punctuality and attendance
    Ability to work according to production schedules and deadlines
    Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills as well as the ability to handle changing demands
