ATS Regina is looking for two additional Traffic Technicians to join their On-Street Services Team. What is a Traffic Technician you ask? A Traffic Technician plays many roles including Traffic design and implementation, Traffic Control, & Traffic expertise when Traffic patterns are disrupted.
Traffic Technician at ATS Traffic would:
Be safety conscious & actively promote safe work habits
Be a self-starter with a strong work ethic
Have flexibility & a willingness to work irregular hours/shifts (Not a typical 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. shift at times)
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Designing a safe traffic accommodation plan i.e.) lane closure or detour
Physical setup & removal of traffic devices i.e.) barricades, pylon, signage & digital message boards
Drop-offs and pick-ups of equipment for customers
Qualifications:
A valid (non-graduated) Class 5 drivers license and clean driving abstract
Own vehicle to get to and from work
Be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening
Be able to pass a Fit Test & Able to lift 75 pounds
Required Skills:
Customer service orientated
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Able to work independently
Manage ones workload with minimal supervision
Ability to read & understand maps
Desired Skills:
Traffic Control/Lane Closure experience, but training will be provided to the right candidate
Work experience with a construction company
Experience driving a one-ton truck
Experience pulling/hauling trailers
