Description

eHealth Saskatchewan, an innovative Treasury Crown Corporation has an exciting and challenging role for an experienced Director, Communications.  Serving as a member of the Senior Executive, and providing senior level support to the CEO & Board of Directors, this position develops and implements corporate communications strategies for eHealth Saskatchewan on initiatives involving comprehensive stakeholder and media relations.  

The Director, Communications shall collaborate with stakeholder groups such as the ministry, Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, on the development and initiation of strategies and policies to manage the image, relationships, integrity and profile of eHealth Saskatchewan, health partners and government while managing a small dedicated team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities to succeed in this role include;
* Develops and manages the communication relationships between the eHealth Saskatchewan and stakeholders at the regional, provincial, and national level to ensure initiatives and messaging are consistent with policy, capacity and strategic direction.
* Directs, develops, implements and evaluates communications, marketing and correspondence materials to ensure consistent, timely and appropriate messaging about eHealth Saskatchewan policies, programs and information by monitoring the media for pertinent issues, locally and nationally.

To succeed in this environment, you will bring a university degree in journalism, public relations or communications along with 10 years of progressive leadership experience.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a track record of developing and sustaining a higher performance team.  The successful candidate will be required to be a proactive leader with a proven ability to engage and lead teams through change, combined with a high level of initiative problem-solving abilities, business savvy, diplomacy and tact.
