Description

The successful candidate will be required to work as a team member of the multidisciplinary prevention team assigned to the implementation of the integrated strategy across primary, secondary and tertiary setting within the service area. The Prevention Services Worker will provide an alternate, holistic, and/or eclectic approach to the well-being of the child, the family and community understanding within their respective First Nations. The delivery of this service will be based on the development of prevention services with a strong cultural foundation in the ways of knowing, reasoning, values/virtues, and beliefs as taught through the culture and tradition of the First Nation people. The Prevention Services Worker will network with surrounding Urban Services of Yorkton, and YTCCFS Inc. to provide relevant prevention services. This Position will be located in the city of Yorkton, SK, under the supervision of the Prevention Manager and will be focused on community relation to prevention resources, and in conjunction with the YTCCFS team approach. Certificate in Social Work (CSW or CISW) or twenty-four (24) months direct child protection services experience. OR Bachelor of Social Work (BSW or BISW) OR a Four (4) year University undergraduate degree in a related discipline and eighteen (18 months of relevant work experience OR
Grade 12 with   a minimum of five (5) years experience in a related field of employment.
Knowledge of management principles, includes communication principles, financial control, accounting and personnel.
