Description

"The Unexpected is Everywhere" is the motto for the Nutrien Fringe Theatre Festival and Street Festival. Held in the heart of the Broadway district and in conjunction with thestreet festival is the Saskatoon Fringe festival. This theatre festival boasts 33 companies performing over 230 independent theatrical perfomances. The vibrant street festival will have over 50 craft vendors, numerous food vendors and other performing artists.
Our Box Office Manager is an integral part of our festival as they will be many vendor, artists and patrons first contact with the festival, and will be responsible for accuracy of ticket booking and answering any questions about the festival.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Box Office Managers duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Responsible for the courteous and efficient processing of public ticket sales and the financial integrity of the box office
Cash handling experience
Facilitate the Kids Connect program
Provide a high level of customer service
Provide daily sales reports with reconciliation of box office receipts and sales
Liaise with the Theatre Festival Manager to provide office coverage during the festival
Direct the work of, and oversee the box office attendants and ensure their hours are covered leading up to and including the festival
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Possess solid organizational and communication skills
Have an outgoing personality and be comfortable dealing with the public
Be adept at cash handling and reconciliation
Availability to work daytimes, early evening and weekends during the summer
Enjoy working outdoors and able to work in inclement weather
First Aid or equivalent training is an asset
Experience working in customer service will be considered an asset
Post-secondary training especially in business, finance, and/or theatre will be considered an asset
