As an Analyst, you will monitor compliance with the Acts, namely The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, The Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and The Health Information Protection Act. You will possess very strong analytical skills that will enable you to think critically, research and investigate issues in order to solve problems. Your superior communication skills will allow you to mediate between citizens and public bodies, health trustees on diverse and complex access to information and privacy issues. You will possess very strong written skills that will allow you to write reports on access and privacy issues. You will be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills. You will have excellent computer skills and have a working knowledge of MS Windows 2010 and MS Office 2016.
To be successful in this position, you will have knowledge of Saskatchewan and Canadian access and privacy legislation as well as access and privacy best practices. Typically, the knowledge and abilities necessary for this position would be obtained through the completion of a University degree and/or extensive experience in the access and privacy field. Preference will be given to an individual who has completed, is enrolled, or is willing to be enrolled in the Information Access and Protection of Privacy (IAPP) Certificate through the University of Alberta.
