Facility: Athabasca Health Facility
Job Description: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating the operations of the Human Resources department. She/he develops and implements policies, programs and procedures regarding human resource planning, recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefit administration. The Human Resources Manager ensures compliance with all applicable federal and provincial regulations, and AHA policies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Advise Senior Management on all employment standards, labour relations and human rights policies and contract creations.

Advise and assist managers on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs, ensuring consistent application.

Create and analyze human resource policies to establish consistent organizational practices and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of Human Resource and Reception staff.

Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.

Provide full recruitment services including front end needs analysis, job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and employee offers.

Assist with the identification of training needs, the selection, development and delivery of appropriate programs.

Perform all duties within a highly confidential manner and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Other duties, as assigned.



A bachelor's degree in a field related to Human Resources Management, such as business administration, industrial relations, commerce or psychology.
