Description

JGL Commodities Ltd., a division of JGL Livestock, is a  full service agriculture ingredient supplier providing merchandising, logistics, administration and risk management expertise.  
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Commodity Trader located in our Saskatoon office.
This position is responsible for developing and implementing business plans for the procurement, warehousing and merchandising of assigned commodities within domestic/export markets, and for achieving optimum financial results.
Description of Work Performed:
    Develops and manages sales strategies and programs and communicates to other staff
    Manages all aspects of sales and purchase contract administration to ensure that contract quality, delivery and payment terms are adhered to.
    Manages supplier shortage and quality claims.
    Approves pricing premiums and discounts for assigned products(s) within provided guidelines.
    Monitors, analyzes and is responsible for specified product positions as assigned by the General Manager.
    Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitor activities.  Develops recommended plans of action in relation to market activities and advises as appropriate.
    Manages logistics, allocations, and purchase/sales orders for assigned products and areas.
    Reviews and analyzes progress towards the achievement of business plans and key business indicators, including gross margin, sales volume, Sales $, customer satisfaction, product marketing
    Develops an understanding of accounting and credit systems and processes.
    Responsible for all accounts receivable in the specified territory
    Prepares and submits regular reports regarding product achievements, opportunities and issues.
    Maintains ongoing communications with JGL Commodities staff to ensure an understanding and awareness of product requirements and facilitates the efficiency of integrated systems.
    Promotes relationship building between admin support and customers
