I am looking for a Store Manager to oversee the day to day operation of a computer and IT repair, sales and service business. The Computer Clinic is a computer repair shop that has walk in customers and business clients and I am looking for someone with a passion for IT that would like the challenge of managing a business.
Your job will be to deal directly with customers and staff, to communicate clearly with customers and staff, to interpret computer and IT problems, to diagnose the necessary repairs, and to carry out the repairs and delegate repairs and jobs to the staff.
Typically, a customer will drop off a computer for repairs, telling us that it has a virus, or that it keeps freezing, or it doesn't turn on. Your job will be to sign in the computer, to ask questions of the customer to understand the problem, to diagnose the problem while keeping detailed notes about your steps and to speak to the customers about their options to repair the computer or buy another computer.
You will need to go on site calls occasionally, so a driver's license is required, but the company car will be available for the site calls. On site calls, usually, you will be going to a business, you will need to be able to communicate clearly with the on site point of contacts to identify and solve the computer related problems. These problems can be related to networking, including routers and switches, windows operating system problems, printer setup and configuration, recovering lost files, Sage Accounting and many many others.
