Description

EVRAZ Wasco Pipe Protection Corporation is looking for the perfect person to lead its Health, Safety & Environment department.  

The HSE Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership, advice, and support for the planning, implementation and compliance of HSE policies and procedures. The HSE Manager works with everyone on site to protect their health & safety by ensuring that risks in the workplace are properly controlled, and those impacts on the environment are minimized.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBIILITIES
    Promote a positive HSE culture at the workplace
    Ensure compliance with Saskatchewan OH&S legislation
    Monitor & evaluate progress of the specified objectives, targets and HSE plan
    Review & develop policies, procedures & guidance, in keeping with best practices
    Carry out or arrange workplace safety audits & ensure that recommendations are implemented
    Ensure all accidents & near misses are properly investigated & prepare final reports giving recommendations to prevent recurrence & implementing approved course of action
    Conduct internal safety related training & ensure employee attend the required training programs
    Maintain first aid kits & all emergency equipment
    Provide safety support & advice, including supervision of contractors on site.
    Ensure the implementation of Fire and Evacuation procedure & monitor its effectiveness.
    Promote & coordinate the integration of environmental management & sustainability issues into policies, procedures and rules.

QUALIFICATIONS
    College diploma or University degree in related field
    Must have a Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) Designation
    8+ years experience in Health, Safety & Environment in an industrial setting
