Description

You're constantly asking questions and you're eager to investigate the details. When something doesn't add up, you rely on your natural problem-solving skills to find solutions that respond to the needs of everyone involved.
If you know the ins and outs of building relationships and understand that putting your customer first is the key to realizing business growth, join our team to embark on an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career as an Underwriting Assistant in Regina. We've developed a comprehensive four-month training program designed to introduce you to property & casualty underwriting. Working with other trainees through the guidance of a trainer, you will be introduced to the business concepts and practical aspects of what it takes to assess risk and review policy applications. Using a combination of hands-on exercises and online training modules, you'll be exposed to the software applications and every-day tools that are needed to better serve our broker partners and contribute to our future initiatives. The program is designed to deliver the skills needed to build your competence and realize success as an underwriter.
Requirements
We're looking for people from all backgrounds who bring a unique combination of customer-focused knowledge and skills to the team.  Candidates should have a 2-year diploma or 4-year degree in a relevant field of study, such as a business, social science or quantitative discipline; experience in a customer-oriented service or administrative role would be an asset.
