Job Summary
Reporting to the Feed Department Manager, the Formulator is a key person within the Feed Department who ensures proper implementation of our hog nutrition and feeding program.
General Responsibilities
Working with the Procurement team and Nutritionist, formulate diets and implement hog feeding programs at company owned and toll feed mills in Alberta and Saskatchewan
Monitor and report adherence to diets, budgets and feeding protocols
Keep up to date on innovations and new products related to swine nutrition
Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience Required
University Degree in Animal Science or related discipline or equivalent experience
Excellent computer skills, especially Excel
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Valid drivers license
Feed mill experience, BRILL experience and Metafarms experience are definite assets
