Job Description: This position works in collaboration with other members of the Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Services team, OH&S Physician Consultant, Supervisors, Managers, Directors,Coordinators. The primary function of the Employee Health Nurse (EHN) is to provide efficient and effective employee health services to employees within the Saskatoon Health Region (SHR). This is accomplished through the provision and/or coordination of immunizations, tuberculin skin testing and influenza vaccinations. The EHN will also be responsible to order and interpret occupational related serological testing for employees and perform portacount quantitative respirator fit testing. The functions are carried out in alignment with the organization strategic plan, goals and values.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Experience
Must have recent experience in employee health. Must have recent experience in administration of immunizations and tuberculin skin tests. Must have recent experience in ordering and interpreting occupational related serological testing. Must have recent experience in portacount quantitative respirator fit testing.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of Saskatchewan Employment Act (SEA)
Knowledge of the Hospital Standards Act
Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Regulations
Knowledge of the Public Health Agency - Canadian Immunization Guide Chapter on Influenza and Statement on Seasonal Influenza Vaccine for the current year
