POSITION CAN BE BASED IN SASKATOON OR REGINA
Reporting to the Director of Medical Affairs, this position is responsible for the execution of physician recruitment activities. In collaboration with the Physician Recruitment and Retention Consultant, the position will assist in the development and deployment of programs, policies and processes to improve physician recruitment, retention and medical administration.
Develop and enhance relationships with medical students and residents both in Saskatchewan and across Canada to facilitate recruitment.
Work in collaboration with stakeholders within the Saskatchewan Health Authority, saskdocs, Saskatchewan Medical Association, College of Physicians and Surgeons and the College of Medicine.
Assist with arranging observerships outside the College of Medicine.
Deploy recruitment and on-boarding processes including those for specialists such as oncologists, haematologist and generalist physicians such as house officers and clinical associates.
Reviews applications and inquiries from physicians seeking practice opportunities with the organization. Screens all applications to determine whether the applicant meets (or could potentially meet) the requirements for licensure, immigration, credentialing and privileging and the position for which they are expressing interest. Communicates effectively and regularly with applicants to clarify requirements and advise on processes and strategies to improve the recruitment experience.
