The SASKATOON Housing Authority has an opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join their Senior Management Team and lead the accounting group in the efficient delivery of full cycle accounting and payroll functions.
The Finance Manager is responsible to keep the management team informed of financial position through forecasting, reporting and financial analysis. You will oversee a team in the delivery of accounting functions including payables,receivables and payroll within the JD Edwards environment and in alignment with policy and guidelines of the Housing Authority and Saskatchewan Housing Corporation.
We are looking for:
- Ability to manage and prioritize a heavy accounting workload
- A leader with proven team building and conflict resolution skills
- Superior ability to think critically, problem solve and make decisions
- Experience in human resource management and administration of payroll and benefits
You will bring:
- A Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation, or other recognized equivalent
- Five or more years' senior financial management experience
- Solid understanding of federal and provincial regulations related to payroll, tax remittances, and Worker's Compensation premiums
- Experience with JD Edwards accounting, or similar software, along with MS Office and advanced Excel skills
- Property management experience and an understanding of community development and non-profit administration is an asset
