Gabriel Housing Corporation of Regina (1981) provides safe and affordable housing to the Metis community of Regina. Our portfolio of 366 units provides family units, senior units, apartments, four-plexes and duplexes.
Gabriel Housing Corporation ensures our units are well maintained and healthy for our tenants.
DUTIES:
Building maintenance, service and repair.
Vacancy preparation
Grounds maintenance, snow removal.
Maintain equipment and inventory.
What we are looking for:
Experience in repairing building and mechanical equipment, custodial and maintenance work.
General knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, heating, electrical, mechanical and painting.
Effective communicator with tenants, Board Members, contractors and suppliers.
Adherence to Federal and Provincial OH&S Act and Regulations.
An independent, task oriented, self starter.
Computer skills for our internal work order system.
What you'll need:
Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle (driver abstract upon request).
Ability to lift up to 100 pound.
Physically demanding.
Ability to use hand tools.
Skidsteer experience 1-2 years.
Recognition of and respect for peoples diversity and individual differences.
Successfully complete a criminal background check.
Steel toed boots.
Benefits provided after 3 months. Preference will be given to applicants of Aboriginal ancestry who self identify.
